Lam Research is seeking a Field Service Engineer 4 to join our Customer Support Business Group. This role involves providing on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services for Lam’s complex semiconductor equipment at customer sites.
- Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/relocation start-up services
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and solve equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain product knowledge through training and certification
- Perform field modifications and updates, maintaining documentation
- Serve as a subject matter expert and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
- Partner with customers at management and engineer levels
- Coach and mentor junior engineers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience (or Master’s with 6+ years)
- Experience with semiconductor capital equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
- Proficiency in electrical/mechanical schematics and operation manuals
- Ability to work in clean room environments with PPE
- Frequent travel required (domestic and international)
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
