Field Service Engineer 3

Lam Research seeks a Field Service Engineer 3 to join our Customer Support Business Group. This role involves on-site repair, maintenance, and installation of complex semiconductor equipment at customer sites, ensuring operational excellence and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/relocation start-up services of Lam's electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to component level, implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of semiconductor equipment through training and certification.
• Assist in complex field modifications and updates, coordinating activities between Lam and customers.
• Act as a subject matter expert, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Create customer response action plans and troubleshoot issues.
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Engineering + 5+ years experience (or Master's + 3+ years).
• Experience installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting semiconductor capital equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and operate in clean room environments.
• Physical ability to perform job tasks (bending, walking, climbing, etc.) for extended periods.
• Frequent domestic and international travel required.
