Role Summary: Design and develop critical substrate holders (chucks) and handling systems for wet chemistry processing tools used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Design substrate holders for plating, cleaning, and etching processes
- Develop sealing concepts, clamping mechanisms, and chemical interfaces
- Optimize designs for uniform process conditions and minimal particle generation
- Design mechanical interfaces for tool automation systems
- Perform structural, thermal, and vibration analysis
- Validate chemical compatibility and material performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on productization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in precision mechanical design
- Proficiency in Siemens NX/SolidEdge or similar CAD tools
- Strong foundation in GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Experience with testing and validation of mechanical systems
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor wet processing equipment
- Experience with substrate/chuck handling systems
- Understanding of sealing technologies and material selection
- Automation system integration experience
