Mid/Senior Frontend Engineer STANDARD Marketplaces (m/f/d)

- Your work will significantly shape and enhance our Marketplaces products - jobs.derStandard.at, finden.at, and immobilien.derStandard.at
- You’ll implement and improve user-facing features with a focus on performance, accessibility, and responsive design, helping thousands of users enjoy a seamless experience across our platforms
- You’ll have a say in technical decisions, including our frontend stack, tooling, and coding standards
- You’ll play a key role in translating product ideas into well-crafted, high-quality code - always with an eye on scalability and long-term maintainability
What we are looking for
- 3-5 years of experience developing modern web applications in a team environment
- Strong experience with a modern frontend framework (e.g., React)
- Solid, hands-on experience with Node.js
- Experience with Next.js is highly preferred
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows
- Familiarity with GraphQL, AWS, and token-based authentication methods (e.g., JWT, OAuth) is a plus
- Proficiency in TypeScript, with a strong grasp of component-based architecture and design systems
- Comfortable taking end-to-end responsibility - from software design and development to deployment, monitoring, debugging, and handling migrations
- Committed to writing performant, accessible, and maintainable frontend code
- Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development workflows
- Interested in contributing to the long-term product vision from a frontend perspective

- Node.js with TypeScript
- Next.js, hosted in AWS with CDN support (e.g., CloudFront)
- GraphQL backend services
- Atlassian tools: Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence
- IDE/AI: Visual Studio Code, Windsurf, Copilot, ChatGPT

Home office arrangement: 3 days per week presence desired
