Internship: Technical Assistant for Engineering Lab (f/m/div)
Location: Villach (Austria)
Type of Employment: Temporary / min. 30 hours per week (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
Duration: min. 12 months
Your Role
- PCB Assembly: Perform PCB assembly using both manual SMD soldering as well as professional automated equipment including pick and place machines and reflow ovens
- Process Optimization: Support the setup, programming, and optimization of automated PCB assembly processes to ensure high efficiency
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough PCB testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues
- Design Collaboration: Support the design and layout of PCBs using industry-standard tools to meet engineering requirements
- Automation Development: Develop and implement further automation solutions for lab processes to streamline operations
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of processes and results to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing
Your Profile
- Educational Background: Currently studying in the field of Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar discipline
- Electronics Knowledge: Possess basic knowledge of electronics and PCB assembly principles
- Soldering and Assembly: Demonstrate first experience or strong interest in manual SMD soldering as well as automated assembly processes
- Design Tools: Have experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, Cadence, or similar software
- Automation Interest: Show a genuine interest in automation and programming
- Soft Skills: Exhibit strong organizational and communication skills
- Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Language Skills: Possess fluent English language skills and German language skills as a plus
