Internship - Embedded Firmware and Hardware Development (f/m/div)

Location: Villach, Austria

Duration: min. 12 months

Employment Type: Temporary / Part-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)

Your role

  • Firmware: Development of control firmware for embedded systems
  • Interface Protocols Stacks: Implementation of communication stacks for Modbus (MODBUS), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Controller Area Network (CAN), and Universal Serial Bus (USB)
  • User Interface: Development of graphical user interfaces in C#
  • Testing: Execution of hardware and firmware testing
  • Lab Work: Laboratory evaluation and measurements
  • Academic Writing: Possibility to develop a Bachelor's thesis aligned with the internship topics

Your profile

  • Education: Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Technical Skills: Programming skills in C, C++, C#, basic skills with Altium and Orcad
  • Platforms: Hands-on familiarity with ARM microcontrollers and Programmable System on Chip (PSoC) for firmware, Microsoft Windows for graphical user interface
  • Electronics: Fundamental knowledge in analog low-voltage circuit design and high-voltage power electronics
  • Teamwork: Ability to work in an international environment
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English, German as a plus
