Your Role
As Lead Principal Engineer and Team Lead for High Voltage Product Definition Engineering, you will play a key role in shaping our power semiconductor product portfolio across SiC MOSFETs, SiC JFET technologies, and CoolMOS. Your focus will be on ensuring technically excellent, market- and customer-aligned product definitions that deliver clear differentiation and strong value propositions for target applications in the 400V-1000V range.
- Lead definition of new products across SiC, SiC JFET/cascode, and CoolMOS for applications such as AI datacenter power, renewables, EV charging, and SMPS
- Drive clear technical value propositions ensuring differentiation in efficiency, power density, cost, reliability, and performance
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of experienced Product Definition Engineers
- Contribute to long-term technology and product strategy
- Ensure high-quality technical governance by reviewing datasheets, application notes, and competitive analyses
- Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, and Sales to translate application needs into specifications
- Maintain market insight in power electronics, especially AI infrastructure and renewable energy
- Act as senior technical authority driving system-level thinking and strategic decisions
Your Profile
Qualifications:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in power semiconductor product development or definition
- Strong expertise in SiC/high-voltage Silicon technologies (MOSFETs, JFETs, Superjunction)
- Experience defining devices for demanding applications (data centers, renewables, EV charging)
- Deep understanding of power conversion topologies and system requirements
- Laboratory experience with power semiconductor characterization
- Ability to translate technical concepts into value propositions
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; fluent in English (German plus)
We offer competitive salaries and benefits based on performance, experience, and qualifications. Employment follows the collective salary agreement for the electrical/electronics industry (group J). Monthly salary paid 14 times p.a., with higher compensation possible based on expertise.
