What you'll do
- Responsible for performing professional process engineering research, development, and evaluation in support of the company's complex semiconductor capital equipment and systems.
- Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of products.
- Conceives and plans projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches.
- Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process specifications.
- Supports customer technology managers in planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting of customer demos.
- Drives the adoption of new technology at the customer site through demos, on-site evaluations, and tool qualifications.
- Works with cross-functional teams to understand roadmaps, process flow, requirements and business challenges.
- Works with suppliers to ensure availability of required parts and supplies.
- Contributes to product development and release activities.
- May act as single point of contact for process-related requests.
Leadership
- Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues; may lead small projects.
- Works with cross-functional teams to get needed information and results.
Customer Relation
- Professionally represents the company to customers; keeps them informed of new needs.
- Addresses potential issues at customer sites and provides alternative solutions.
Who we're looking for
- Ph.D./MA degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics
- 8-10 years of relevant experience as a Process Engineer in semiconductor industry, preferably in clean/wet etch processes
- Familiarity with chemical laboratory work
- Experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques
- In-depth understanding of SPC and/or DOE
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent people skills for diverse team collaboration
- Collaboration/matrix environment mindset
What We're Offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group H. Higher payment negotiable based on education, expertise and skills. Monthly salary paid 14 times per year.
