Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical and electronic circuits throughout all phases of the product lifecycle.
- Drive component selection, circuit development, design verification, testing, and evaluation of control systems for our products.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, technical support specialists, productivity engineers, and external suppliers.
- Develop, execute, and analyze test plans and procedures to ensure technical and operational requirements are fully met, validated, and documented.
- Collect, evaluate, and present technical data and findings to support informed decision-making during design, project, and program reviews.
Who we're looking for
- Master's degree in Electronics Engineering with 3+ relevant professional experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ professional experience.
- Hands-on experience in power electronics and control technologies for industrial automation.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for electrical circuit design (EPLAN, ZUKEN, ORCAD).
- Strong understanding of AC/DC power distribution systems and electrical control architectures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Ethernet-based networks).
- Ability to drive functional requirements from definition through implementation.
- Understanding of Design for Reliability (DfR), DfM, and DfS principles.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex systems with network sniffers and protocol analyzers.
- Experience in structured root-cause analysis methodologies.
What We're Offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group E. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
