Internship - AI Optimized PCB Development Process Engineer

Join Infineon as an AI Optimized PCB Development Process Engineer intern in Villach, Austria. This role involves designing AI-powered support for schematic capture, layout optimization, and design rule checking. Integrate machine learning models into PCB workflows, automate engineering tasks, analyze design data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy AI tooling for schematic capture, layout optimization, and design rule checking
• Integrate ML models into PCB workflows to reduce iteration cycles
• Automate component selection, netlist validation, BOM analysis, and documentation
• Analyze design/manufacturing data to identify optimization opportunities
• Research intelligent systems for error detection and predictive quality assurance
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams
• Ensure solutions meet engineering standards and reliability requirements

Required Profile:

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Professional English proficiency (German preferred)
• Knowledge of data analysis, automation scripting, and workflow integration
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Solution-oriented mindset with ability to work independently

Duration: Minimum 12 months. Employment Type: Temporary / Part-time or Full-time (flexible hours Mon-Fri 6 a.m.-7 p.m.).
