Profile

• You and your team are responsible for the further development of our global network, consisting of over 100 locations worldwide
• You work independently and according to your preferences on a project basis on the development, improvement, and future-proofing of the various components of our network stack: Core network, Automation workflows, Network-related services (e.g. DDoS mitigation, RPKI), Monitoring and alerting
• You define and document standards for network setups or workflows
• You are the contact person for complex tasks or troubleshooting
• You work closely with a team of network architects, network and software engineers

Wanted

• Solid and proven network expertise as well as several years of professional experience in the service provider environment
• Understanding complex network topologies and technical relationships beyond the boundaries of your own area of expertise (compute, storage, etc.) is easy for you
• Automation, its design, and implementation are your thing
• Knowledge of the feature set and troubleshooting capabilities on network platforms from Juniper, Arista, Cisco, etc.
• Experience with routing (BGP, ISIS), control plane (RSVP, EVPN), and related data plane technologies (legacy IP, IPv6, MPLS, VXLAN)
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go, Ansible and git
• Experience in using Linux system tools and common monitoring tools
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
