Senior Engineer - Field Service

Lam Research seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation of complex semiconductor equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnostics, and collaboration with customers to ensure operational excellence.

• Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services for Lam's electro-mechanical and electronic systems
• Perform analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Maintain updates on semiconductor equipment through training and certification
• Assist in field modifications and maintain coordination records
• Serve as a subject matter expert for customer satisfaction
• Troubleshoot and develop customer response action plans
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring to junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ or 3+ years experience respectively
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment installation and maintenance
• Proficiency in electrical/mechanical schematics and clean room operations
• Ability to travel frequently domestically and internationally
• Flexible shift availability including overtime and on-call

Work Models

Lam offers hybrid roles: 'On-site Flex' (3+ days weekly on-site) and 'Virtual Flex' (1-2 days weekly on-site).
