Field Service Engineer - FS II, TF

Lam Research seeks a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation of complex semiconductor equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnostics, and collaboration with customers to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site repair, maintenance, and installation of Lam's electro-mechanical and electronic systems
• Troubleshoot and isolate issues to component level
• Maintain equipment knowledge through training and certification
• Assist with field modifications and updates
• Serve as subject matter expert for customers
• Create customer response action plans
• Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Engineering + 5+ years experience (or Master's + 3+ years)
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment installation/maintenance
• Ability to interpret schematics and operate in cleanroom environments
• Frequent travel required (domestic and international)
• Flexibility for shift work, overtime, and on-call duties

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
