Internship - Power Electronics Laboratory Operations and Digitalization

Location: Villach, Austria

Duration: 12 months

Employment Type: Temporary / Part-time (flexible working hours Mon-Fri, 06:00-19:00)

Your Role

• Calibration: Maintain and update lab equipment inventory, coordinate calibration/maintenance, manage certificates and compliance documentation.
• Procurement: Create and manage purchase requisitions/orders in ERP, track deliveries/invoices, ensure availability of lab consumables.
• Operations: Coordinate daily lab activities, manage workspace bookings, access permissions, and visitor coordination.
• Documentation: Maintain SOPs, work instructions, calibration records; prepare reports and KPI dashboards.
• Automation: Develop Python tools for data processing, reporting, and workflow automation; support AI solutions and digitalization initiatives.
• Engineering Support: Assist in setting up power electronics test environments, support measurement data collection and analysis.

Your Profile

• Education: Currently enrolled in Bachelor/Master in Engineering, Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, etc.
• Language Skills: Excellent English (written/verbal); German advantageous.
• Organization: Strong planning/prioritization skills, detail-oriented.
• Collaboration: Work effectively in multidisciplinary international teams.
• Digital Tools: Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook; ERP (SAP) experience beneficial.
• Programming: Basic/intermediate Python; interest in AI, machine learning, data analytics.
• Mindset: Proactive, reliable, customer-oriented, hands-on attitude.

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, group D for master students.
