R&D Internship or Master’s Thesis (between September 2026 - June 2027)

Role Summary:
Guided by our team of technologists and researchers, you’ll be involved in genuine R&D initiatives. Possible topics could include:

• Improving impregnation of wood chips for chemical pulping.
• Investigation of novel additives to boost oxygen delignification after the kraft pulping process.
• Development of applications for biogenic residues from pulp and paper processes.

Your responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and perform state-of-the-art analyses for relevant development topics.
• Prepare, execute, and document laboratory experiments and/or pilot trials under guidance.
• For master’s thesis candidates: design and develop your project independently with support.

Our requirements:

• Interest in chemical analytics and trace analytics.
• Enjoys precise laboratory work and documentation.

Languages:

• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• German is an asset.

Education:

• Studying chemistry, chemical engineering, or pharmacy (undergraduate or master’s).

Our Offer:

• Inspiring position in our laboratory team.
• Start: September 2026 to June 2027.
• Location: Graz, Austria.
• Duration: 2-6 months.
• Extent: part-time, 24 hours/week.
• Compensation: €1,578.95 gross/month (part-time), with overpayment possible based on experience.
