Our client from the financial sector is an established company and is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to provide external support in a demanding project environment.
Industry: Banking and Financial Services
Location: Remote /Budapest
Capacity: 100 %
Duration: 01.09.2026 - 31.12.2026 with possibility of extension
Language: English, German nice to have
Your responsibilities:
- Development, optimization, and migration of data pipelines
- Design and implementation of solutions based on Databricks and Python
- Working with streaming technologies such as Azure Event Hub and Kafka
- Implementation and support of real-time data processing using Apache Druid and Apache Storm
- Analysis and evaluation of existing solutions within migration projects
- Collaboration in an agile Scrum environment
Your profile:
- Extensive experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Databricks and Python
- Hands-on experience with streaming technologies (Azure Event Hub, Kafka) as well as real-time technologies (Apache Druid, Apache Storm)
- Experience in the development and migration of data pipelines
- Very good knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
- Very good English skills
- German skills are an advantage
General conditions:
- Predominantly remote with up to 80 % home office
- Occasional presence at the project site in Budapest (5th district) or fully remote with willingness to travel for occasional coordination meetings
