Scientist - Analog/Digital circuit design for solid-state quantum system on chip

Silicon Austria Labs GmbH seeks a motivated Scientist to join our Quantum Pilot Line, developing integrated platforms for quantum information processing. You will drive complex research tasks autonomously, contribute to project growth, and build an internationally visible research profile in a collaborative environment.

• Drive innovation in analog/mixed-signal (AMS) IC design for quantum applications
• Design and layout analog building blocks (e.g., LDOs, bandgaps, DACs, ADCs)
• Perform lab measurements with oscilloscopes, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers
• Lead research projects, publish papers, and represent SAL at conferences
• Manage projects, acquire partnerships, and mentor students
• Support knowledge transfer and ensure project success

Your profile:

• PhD in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years experience with schematic/layout design tools
• Knowledge of ADC/DAC and analog circuits (amplifiers, LDOs, bandgaps)
• FPGA design and Python/HDL programming skills
• Autonomous, research-oriented, and strong English communication skills
• Willingness to relocate to Villach, Austria
