Senior Expert NW Security Operations (m/f/x)

As the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 700 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade.

• 5+ years senior network engineering experience (enterprise scale).
• Expert knowledge of routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and firewall technologies (Cisco ASA/FTD/FMC).
• Strong L3 troubleshooting, RCA, and performance analysis skills.
• Hands‑on experience with Splunk, Syslog, and monitoring platforms.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow is a plus.
• Fluent English; German beneficial; additional CEE languages an advantage.
   

• Operation & Monitoring: 3rd‑level troubleshooting, escalation handling, and ownership of complex incidents.
• Network Design & Optimization: Contribute to architecture, modernization, SD‑WAN, NGFW, segmentation and capacity planning.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Security, and Business Units to ensure stability and clear communication.
• Project Support: Lead technical work packages in strategic network initiatives.
• Technical Ownership: Act as SME for security components; maintain standards, documentation, and operational excellence.
• Incident Management: Analyze, prioritize, resolve, and document incidents per ITIL processes.
