Your future tasks include:

• Development of thin films for integrated photonics applications.
• Design and execute experiments to optimize photonic materials.
• Collaboration with design, fabrication, characterization, and process engineer teams.
• Definition of strategies for material optimization.
• Development of strategies for novel material properties.
• Contributing to standardization of procedures and workflows.
• Filing IP disclosures.
• Contribution to scientific dissemination.
• Contribution to Unit workflows, project acquisition and management.

Your profile:

• PhD in materials science, physics or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with thin-film deposition.
• Experience with materials for Photonic Integrated Circuits.
• Ability to tune optical properties of thin-film materials.
• Experience with optical/structural characterizations.
• Cleanroom experience.
• Strong documentation and reporting.
• Very good command of English.
