Silicon Austria Labs is looking for researchers with various job profiles with expertise in one of our cutting-edge research areas related to the field of electronic based systems to strengthen our team.
As a Staff Research Engineer in Millimeter Wave Technologies Unit, you will be part of a highly innovative team working on the development and implementation of advanced RF systems. You will work on exciting projects and make a significant contribution to the development of new technologies.
Your future tasks include:
- Responsible for research and development in microwave and mmW technologies, shaping the future of high-frequency sensing and communications.
- Implement both hardware and software solutions to realize complex RF and microwave systems.
- Develop comprehensive RF and microwave systems, including circuit design and antenna development, working closely with interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform accurate simulations of RF and microwave systems to optimize the efficiency and performance of the solutions developed.
- Carry out laboratory tests and measurements at microwave frequencies to ensure system quality and functionality.

- External representation of SAL project team
Your profile:
- You have 4+ years of experience in RF-Systems and knowledge of the simulation tools
- Experience in leadership of small project teams
- Worked with state-of-the-art commercial design/simulation tools
- Hands-on skills including high-frequency measurements on PCB and/or on-wafer
- Interested in broadening your scope from technical work to research projects
- Excellent English skills; German is an advantage
