Lam Research is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to join our Customer Support Business Group. This role involves providing on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services for complex semiconductor equipment at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up services of Lam’s electro-mechanical and electronic systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, isolating problems to component level and implementing corrective actions
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment through training and certification
• Maintain records and coordinate activities between Lam and customers
• Act as subject matter expert, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction
• Update customers on tool status as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years experience (or advanced degree)
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical/mechanical schematics and operation manuals
• Ability to work in cleanroom environments with PPE
• Physical ability to perform job tasks requiring bending, reaching, walking, etc.
• Frequent domestic and international travel required
• Graduate-eligible role

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment installation/maintenance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
