Your Role
- Define and drive integrated photonics architectures for trapped ion systems
- Design photonic interfaces between room temperature laser sources and cryogenic ion traps
- Architect and realize on-chip photonic components optimized for VIS wavelengths
- Lead precision optical assembly for cryogenic modules
- Specify and execute metrology and validation at room temperature and cryogenic conditions
- Drive system level trade-offs and roadmaps
- Mentor junior engineers, write documentation, contribute to patents/publications
- Enable scalable cryogenic trapped ion quantum computing
Your Profile
- University degree in Physics/Photonics (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years hands-on experience in photonics/optics
- Experience with trapped ion experiments (plus)
- Proficiency in optical design tools and thermo-mechanical modeling
- Characterization of photonic hardware including cryogenic measurements
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
We offer competitive salaries based on performance, experience and qualification. Employment follows the collective salary agreement for the electrical/electronics industry (group J). Monthly salary paid 14 times p.a. Higher compensation available based on expertise.
