Manufacturing Engineer

Join Lam as a Manufacturing Engineer where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the new product pilot production factory, virtual manufacturing, or high-volume manufacturing production factory. Using your knowledge of technology and engineering principles you will oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations.

• Verify designs of new modules/products/changes and analyze design for manufacturing.
• Combine BOM strategy with manufacturing line
• Review design solutions in terms of safety, ergonomics, tooling, Form-Fit-Function
• Create Work Instructions and production process steps
• Implement cost-efficient methods of assembly for all phases of manufacturing.
• Implement non standard customer requests onto products and transfer to manufacturing
• Support to transfer new products into high volume manufacturing.
• Work closely with suppliers and remote factories
• Implement new ideas and defining new ways of processes to reduce costs and assembly time
• Continuous Improvement for products, process and manufacturing

Technical education (completed apprenticeship - Lehre; HTL Elektronik/Mechatronik preferred) or higher. 5+ years of relevant work experience. MS office, Siemens Teamcenter & SAP skills. Experience on lean manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing methodologies preferred. Hands on experience with CAD, NX or similar tools. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Self-managed and proactive working style.

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group E. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
