Staff Research Engineer for Radio Frequency Beamforming (all genders)
Silicon Austria Labs is looking for researchers with various job profiles with expertise in one of our cutting-edge research areas related to the field of electronic based systems to strengthen our team.
Your future tasks include:
- Responsible for research and development in hard- and software based technologies for beamforming, shaping the future of high-frequency sensing and communications.
- Implement both hardware and software solutions to realize complex antenna based systems.
- Perform accurate simulations of systems to optimize the efficiency and performance of the solutions developed.
- Carry out laboratory tests and measurements at microwave frequencies to ensure system quality and functionality.

- External representation of SAL project team
Your profile:
- You have 4+ years of experience in digital beamforming based antenna systems and knowledge of simulation tools
- Implementation experience for functional blocks on FPGA based systems
- Experience in leadership of small project teams
- Worked with state-of-the-art commercial design/simulation tools
- Hands-on skills including high-frequency measurements on PCB and/or on-wafer
- Interested in broadening your scope from technical work to research projects
- Excellent English skills; German is an advantage
This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) in occupational group F (F1 salary = EUR 4.868, paid 14 times a year). Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. We offer a salary starting with a minimum gross salary of EUR 72.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract).
