Your Role

As a Digital Designer for Power Management IP in our Research & Development team in Austria, you will own the full design cycle of digital PM IP blocks-from architecture and RTL implementation through synthesis, power-intent closure (UPF/IEEE 1801), and tape-out. Your work will shape how Infineon's AURIX™ and PSoC™ microcontroller families manage power domains, control DC/DC regulation loops, handle power sequencing, and meet ISO 26262 functional safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own microarchitecture design and specification based on system-level requirements
  • Drive development of scalable, reusable IPs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (system architects, software engineers, validation teams)
  • Design RTL for integrating power management AMS_IPs (PMU, LDO controllers, DC-DC converters, etc.)
  • Perform UPF power intent design, CDC/RDC analysis, and DFT/ATPG integration
  • Optimize synthesis for power/performance/area
  • Work with verification teams to ensure block- and system-level verification
  • Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262)
  • Proactively resolve design, timing, or functionality issues

Your Profile

  • Bachelor/Master in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years in digital design (automotive, safety-critical, power management)
  • Proficiency in System Verilog RTL
  • Knowledge of Analog Mixed-Signal IP integration
  • Experience debugging digital circuits
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • English proficiency (German advantageous)
  • Familiarity with microcontroller infrastructure IPs (clocks, resets, power control)
  • Experience with low-power design techniques

We offer competitive salaries and benefits in line with the collective agreement for the electrical/electronics industry (group H-I). Monthly salary paid 14 times per year, with higher compensation based on expertise.
