You will be responsible for performing specific tasks in automation projects, ranging from creating system architectures and specifications, to providing support and technical solutions with the customer as well as the implementation and maintenance of projects within a defined area of responsibility. Supporting sales and independently creating project-oriented solutions, completes the challenging and diverse range of tasks.
Main tasks:
- Creating specifications based on customer requirements
- Providing advice for and creating system architectures in the process control system sector (SCADA)
- Creating comprehensible and customer-oriented reports
- Providing technical sales support at sales meetings (sales talks, live presentations, fairs, etc.)
- Clarifying technical solutions with customers within projects
- Developing technical concepts for human machine interfaces (HMI), accounting for specific customer requirements
- Providing consulting for and implementing defined tasks in SCADA projects
- Implementing solutions in customer projects with our SCADA product WinCC Open Architecture (WinCC OA)
- Taking part in regular project meetings
- Introducing suggestions to solve problems
- Analysis of technical requirements
- Application- and/or database development as well as software tests
- Assisting the tender process
Need to have:- A Higher Technical Education Institute, University of Applied Sciences or Technical University degree in automation, computer science or information technology
- Basic knowledge of process control engineering
- Basic knowledge in conducting negotiations and in conflict management
- Basic programming skills (C++, object-oriented programming)
- Customer-oriented thinking and acting
- Independent and autonomous way of working
- High commitment and willingness to learn
- High technical understanding, good analytical skills and precise, independent and structured way of working
- Resilience, flexibility and customer focus, good communication skills
- Team oriented way to work
- Willingness to travel (worldwide)
- Willingness to work outside normal working hours (if required for work such as critical customer issues or foreign assignments)
- Written and spoken German and English
Nice to have:- SQL skills (Oracle, MS-SQL server, etc.)
- Practical experience in designing automation systems Experience in handling automation projects
- Several years of experience working with visualization programs
- Preferably experience with software development processes, SCADA/HMI and/or PLC
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux
- Additional foreign language(s) of advantage

Salary:
The remuneration is paid in accordance with the collective contract. KV IT/ST1 depending on your advancement level with a monthly salary of at least 2.635,-- EUR gross. Overpayment depending on qualifications and experience possible.
