The Position
The Supply Chain & Procurement Manager will constitute an integrated part of the Roche Diabetes Care Austria organization. The role will focus on providing support towards the Austria commercial organization. Areas of responsibility will cover supply chain management as well as procurement functions, both in terms of regular responsibilities as well as delivering a variety of local and global initiatives and projects.
The position will have strong connection with and guidance from Global Supply Chain and Global Procurement organizations of Roche Diabetes Care.
The Job Profile
Supply Chain and Logistics:
Ensure end-2-end logistics flows
Management of local logistics suppliers for warehousing and transports
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process owner, providing demand forecast in cooperation with sales, product and finance managers
Connection between Austria Affiliate and various Global Supply Chain functions
Returns handling process
External reports: ARA, ERA, Intrastat
Local Transport Safety Advisor, Local Export Control Officer, Local Dangerous Goods Coordinator roles
Represent Supply Chain function and provide regular updates to Leadership Team
Conceptualization and execution of local supply chain and logistics related initiatives and projects
Master data maintenance for trading / advertising / promotional goods, as well sales-boom materials in SAP and MDG-M system
Orders and stock bookings for advertising materials in cooperation with marketing department
Single-point-of-contact for all invoice related tasks and questions regarding advertising materials
Create price list for new materials and prices in cooperation with marketing and sales departments
Maintain customer master data regarding price conditions and payment terms in cooperation with sales department
Create and update the material management & business administrator related documents in the company’s Quality Management System
Accountable for local procurement processes, in line with Roche policies and guidelines
Establish criteria for supplier selection and ensure transparency during the decision process
Execution of tenders and related assessments
Contractual design with suppliers. Establish supplier qualification and assessment process
Responsible for supplier creation in MDG-S system
Creation and updating of preferred supplier list which meet the Business needs
Implementation and execution of spend analyses, category specific strategies according to the standards
Responsible to achieve and report savings
First contact for purchase requests and SAP related matters (e.g. release strategy, amendment of purchase orders, goods receipt booking)
Responsible for trainings about purchase requisition creation in SAP and for the related training materials
Create and update the procurement related documents in the company’s Quality Management System

Education and experience with a track record of about 5+ years of experience in supply chain management and/or procurement
Beneficial experience in medical devices and/or pharma environment
Fluency in both German and English
Affinity to IT tools beneficial (SAP, possibly SAP IBP)
Good communication and partnering skills in a fast pace matrix environment
Independent, self-motivated and accurate working style with great attention to detail, customer and process-oriented way of working
Flexible and reliable personality
Willingness to develop the supply chain and procurement function
Travel requirements: business travel (up to ~10% time)
You can expect a minimum annual salary of €42,000.00 gross, as well as a performance-related bonus and attractive benefits.
