Lam Research seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to join the Customer Support Business Group. This role is based in Penang - Kulim and involves premier customer support throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Impact
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
- Install, relocate, and start-up Lam etch/clean/deposition equipment at customer sites
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment abnormalities
- Implement field modifications from Engineering Change Orders
- Conduct Tier 2 process qualification work
- Maintain accurate service logs and reports
- Represent the company professionally to customers
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Engineering + 5+ years experience (or Master's + 3+ years)
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and engage customers technically
- Willingness for short-term overseas assignments
- Swing shift availability (Tue-Sat / Sun-Thu)
- Proficiency in electrical/mechanical schematics
- Clean room environment experience
Preferred:
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- English communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
